Lucas Paqueta bigs up Newcastle with West Ham future uncertain

The star of West Ham United, Lucas Paqueta, expressed his respect for Newcastle United, our Premier League rivals.

In the summer of 2022, Lucas Paqueta went from Lyon to West Ham, which was only seven months after Bruno Guimaraes left the same club for Newcastle.

Away from sports, the two Brazilians are the greatest of friends, and they frequently make fun of one other on social media.

With all of the expectations placed on him, Paqueta and Bruno haven’t had the best of seasons.

Key players for the Hammers and Magpies, respectively, are the two South American celebrities.

And it wouldn’t be absurd to believe that the two players may play together next season, given how uncertain Paqueta’s status at West Ham currently is.

Lucas Paqueta bigs up Newcastle

This summer, the 26-year-old Hammer has already been heavily linked to a move to Newcastle.

His present deal at the London Stadium includes an £85 million release clause, which means that

should a club come in and activate it, we won’t be able to stop him from leaving.

The Brazilian is an extraordinarily gifted athlete, and it is obvious that he is excited to be

participating in European football the following season.

Although I doubt Newcastle will be able to pay that amount given their current PSR status,

is undoubtedly a huge Newcastle supporter.

In an interview with ESPN Brazil, Paqueta answered this question about which world football teams he most loves to watch:

“I mostly watch Real Madrid games and Newcastle because of Bruno Guimarães.”

Lucas Paqueta enjoys watching Newcastle games, which leads me to believe that he would consider relocating there if they made a move for him. This is especially true given that his best friend plays at St. James’ Park.
