O’Riley is a prominent candidate for player of the year and might be recognized in a ceremony at the Hydro on Sunday.

He was also the impetus for Celtic’s 2-1 victory over Rangers on Saturday, slamming a powerful shot past Jack Butland.

Hart, meantime, is on a triumphant retirement tour and is on the verge of adding two more winners’ medals to his collection before hanging up his gloves for good this summer.

They’ve been terrific additions to Celtic in recent seasons, establishing their position as modern-day club icons.

Hart’s 150th start for the Bhoys came in the win over Rangers, and he was pleased to celebrate afterwards, writing

on Instagram: “150 games for a club that means so lot to me. Celtic, I cannot thank you enough. We still have work to do, so let’s do it together.

Hart must be looking forward to the next few weeks. It will be an emotional time for him, but you can sense he is determined

to stay focused and professional until the accolades are attained. We wouldn’t expect anything less.

O’Riley’s Instagram message focused on the fans, simply saying, “Thank you. Your support today was incredible.

There has been a lot of speculation about O’Riley’s future in recent months. Some believe he is set for a big-money summer move,

while others are simply hoping he will return for another season in green and white.

If he does leave, Celtic can demand a large price. His 33 goals and assists this season, including at the top level, have alerted cash-rich clubs to his abilities.

Whether he stays or leaves, right now we should simply appreciate him and continue to show him the love that is clearly providing him with the confidence he needs to.
