Thanks to a thrilling equaliser against Roma in the 97th minute, Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen

have extended their unbeaten run to 49 games, shattering a historic record.

Leverkusen, who won the semifinal match 4-2 on aggregate after winning the first leg 2-0, will now

play Atalanta in the Europa League final in Dublin later this month as a result of their 2-2 draw with t

he Serie A team.
