Lions rookie cornerbacks already forming a close bond

Cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr, a second-round pick of the Detroit Lions,

spoke to the media following the first rookie minicamp practice on Friday in Allen Park.

A voice to Rakestraw’s right and somewhat behind answered after a few reporters’ questions.

Eventually, Arnold seized Rakestraw, dragged him behind the mic, and commanded, “Bring my brother in.

” We are going to remain here for a very long time because they drafted both of us.

The chemistry that these two young cornerbacks have already developed is evident.

The Lions are hoping that will help them eventually join Brian Branch, a second-year nickel cornerback.

Rakestraw and Arnold are both aware that they are vying for rookie slots.

It’s obvious they’ve bonded well from the beginning since they accept that and support one another.

As a young player in this league, having buddies is beneficial, especially if they are experiencing similar circumstances.
