arisen in the last 48 hours, one who began his career in Glasgow.Celtic want to recruit Motherwell goalkeeper Liam Kelly.

According to The Daily Mail, Celtic have added Motherwell goalkeeper Liam Kelly totheir list of summer objectives.

According to the source, Kelly, who will be available for free this summer,

is well-known to Celtic and former Scotland goalie coach Stevie Woods.

The 28-year-old progressed through the Rangers youth and was a professional at Ibrox

from 2015 to 2018, before moving on to Livingston, Queens Park Rangers, and Motherwell.

He is a regular at Fir Park, and Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell recently stated that

Kelly had been involved in all of Steve Clarke’s EURO 2024 Scotland selections.

He has a history of involvement in Scotland. I’d like to believe and hope,

though I know I’m biased, that he’s done enough to keep his position and

be a part of the group traveling to Germany this summer.

After making his 150th consecutive appearance for Motherwell, Kettlewell said,

“It is a tremendous milestone, and it will continue.

I don’t think there has been a break in that, which may not always be the case with goalkeepers.

“To my mind, that is incredible. He delivered an excellent performance against Aberdeen.

He had to make a couple saves when we were down to ten men,

but it was clear how proactive he is as a leader and captain. He attempted to draw us back into the game.

Some may say that it cannot come from a goalkeeper,

yet consider his body language and what it means to him. On Saturday, he made yet another significant contribution to our team.

Following this update, a low-cost move to Celtic Park could be on the cards, though Kelly is also being pursued by English clubs, so the Hoops may need to move soon.
