Jamie Vardy’s future is under intense scrutiny as his contract with Leicester City expires.

The Foxes legend has already stated that he does not intend to retire this summer when his current contract at the King Power Stadium expires, and manager Enzo Maresca has hinted that the 37-year-old, who scored 20 goals this season to propel the club to the Championship title and back to the Premier League, will be offered a new contract.

City have been warned it would be “daft” not to keep the prolific striker as they return to the top division of English football,

but with no new contract signed and confirmed, the door is open for a possible exit this summer.

and he said: “I’m not ready to hang up the boots yet; the legs feel fine.” I feel as fit as I’ve ever been, so we’ll see what happens.”

Maresca throws a hint.
