JUST IN: Joe Worrall finally makes a career decision on returning back to Nottingham forest this summer.

It is unlikely that Besiktas will extend Joe Worrall’s loan from Nottingham Forest.

It was reported last month that the Turkish team was eager to sign the Reds defender on a long-term contract at the end of the current campaign. Worrall’s loan move included a condition that allowed Besiktas to sign him long-term, but the Star is now claiming that he will return to the City Ground when his loan is up this summer.

Worrall joined Besiktas and has only participated in one Super Lig game. He made his Besiktas debut on February 12 in a 0-0 draw with Kayserispor, but he hasn’t been in the top division of Turkey since.

“I signed a new contract extension but obviously my game time was limited with the new manager coming in and the direction that the club wanted to go in,” he told talkSPORT.

“I’ve played two games under Nuno but we’re well stocked at Forest, there’s a lot of talent and a lot of good players at Forest.

“For me, it’s all about getting match fit and me sitting there is doing nobody any favours so it’s all about playing games and then we’ll see.”
