CONFIRMED: Southampton prodigy made final contract offer to Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez with the talent being pushed elsewhere.

Southampton is well known for its ability to identify young talent and develop it through their youth system.

According to rumors, Southampton has extended to Gomes Rodriguez

their last offer of a professional contract in an effort to lock him down.

However, it is unclear by which clubs the 16-year-old is being pushed.

The agreement still adheres to their pay scale, but it appears that if this isn’t signed, no more offers will be given.

Catching the eye

In the early phases of his career, Gomes Rodriguez seemed to be headed in the correct direction.

He has played regularly for Southampton’s U18 team at the age of 16, and he has even had action with the U21 team.

He has scored a goal and provided nine assists in 10 games for the U18s this season.

Even though he has only scored once in his two appearances for the senior age group,

such creative output has undoubtedly drawn attention.

Due to his achievements, he will likely attract interest from other teams,

and as summer approaches, it appears that people close to him are excited for him to consider possibilities outside of Southampton.
