Celtic have announced contract extensions for two promising talents

Both players have signed one-year contracts, with Montgomery staying until June 2027 and Dawson until June 2025.

Adam Montgomery, a 21-year-old left-back, has shown great promise since coming into Celtic’s first squad in 2021.

Montgomery has made 20 first-team appearances for the club.

His growth has been aided by loan spells at St Johnstone, Aberdeen, Fleetwood Town, and, most recently, Motherwell,

where he hoped to get more first-team experience.

Unfortunately, a season-ending injury cut short his time at Motherwell,

but Montgomery’s new deal reinforces Celtic’s faith in his abilities and future contributions to the squad.

Joey Dawson has been a crucial member of Celtic’s B team.

The forward has not only scored several key goals, including a memorable double against Rangers,

but he has also shown that he is ready for higher competition by making his senior debut against St Johnstone on Boxing Day 2021, under Ange Postecoglou.
