The winger for Brighton & Hove Albion, Jeremy Sarmiento, seems to be in high demand.

During his loan spell at Portman Road, the Ecuadorian international made an impression and assisted the

Tractor Boys in winning promotion to the Premier League.

Sarmiento, 21, has a deal with Brighton through June 2027, although there is still uncertainty over his future.

As Kieran McKenna’s club looks to bolster itself ahead of the first Premier League season in 22 years, Ipswich

may be willing to acquire the attacker on a permanent basis, or they may consider offering him another loan.

After making 22 appearances for Portman Road, Sarmiento scored four goals and provided two assists, swiftly

winning over the supporters.

Jamie Corston of Ipswich Town is so impressed that he made a lighthearted offer of £20 as a “bribe” to

Sarmiento’s agent in order to keep him at the Suffolk club.

Mr. Corston was seated behind Sarmiento’s agent and next to his father at last weekend’s promotion-clinching

game against Huddersfield.

According to Mr. Corston, “we got on to talking about whether he [Sarmiento] likes Ipswich or not, and he

really loves the club and the town,” the BBC’s Tractor Social Podcast said. “I did the noble thing – as any

Ipswich Town fan would do – and I got £20 out of my pocket and offered it to his agent.”

Naturally, the offer was politely rejected.

“There’s a hope he’ll come back, but I feel like I did my part,” Corston stated.
