£5 million-rated Leeds United player “Will move this summer”

The latest reports state that Joe Rodon, a defender for Leeds United who spent last summer

on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur,

will return to the club at the end of the season, but he is expected to leave permanently.

The Wales international, who participated in two major tournaments for his country,

has made 47 appearances in all competitions during the 2023–24 campaign.

In addition, Rodon was a major factor in the Yorkshire team’s season-ending defensive record,

which was second in the Championship behind league winners Leicester City.

However, the season isn’t quite over yet, as Leeds United must defeat Norwich City in the

play-off semifinal at Wembley at the end of the month to secure promotion back to the Premier League.

The Welsh center back is available for purchase by Leeds should they return to

the top division at the end of the current campaign,

according to a report published this past week by Football Insider,

who called the Whites “desperate” to get him back to Elland Road.

Football Insider has now given supporters of the team even more

encouragement by reporting that it is inevitable that a permanent move—whether to

Leeds or somewhere else—will occur this summer from Spurs.

An update on a potential deal for the central defender was provided by

former goalkeeper Paul Robinson on the Inside Track Podcast.

Joe Rodon… He will not be reintegrated into the Spurs team, whether he stays at Leeds or moves elsewhere.

This summer, he will sign a permanent contract, as far as I’m aware.

Rodon, a 26-year-old defender with a ton of experience in the Championship and overseas,

is now good enough to play in the Premier League,

which Leeds might not be able to pay if they don’t make it back to the top flight.

Rodon has one year left on his current contract.
