West Ham were annihilated by London rivals Chelsea in their Premier League clash on Sunday,

as David Moyes’ side found themselves 3-0 down before the half-time break

Under manager David Moyes, West Ham has been accused of downsizing after their ‘disgraceful’ and

’embarrassing’ performance against Chelsea.

By halftime, the Irons were behind 3-0; the first three goals came from Cole Palmer,

Conor Gallagher, and Noni Madueke.

Two minutes after the break, Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea added to Moyes’ suffering with a goal,

and he added another late on to make it a thrilling 5-0 victory.

Though it’s still unclear if Moyes will step down from his position when his contract expires in June,

West Ham is in talks to replace him at the end of this season.

The current front-runner is former Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui,

and Mirror Football understands that an agreement is almost concluded.

If the Irons’ miserable performance at Stamford Bridge is any indication,

Moyes’ four and a half-year tenure will come to an unpleasant end,

with Sky Sports analysts Jamie O’Hara and Clinton Morrison criticizing his players.

“West Ham is on the beach,” ex-Premier League forward Morrison declared.

“The way they’re playing right now is really embarrassing; they don’t seem to

be trying hard enough or offering any kind of challenge… it appears like they’ve just downed tools.

You must continue till the conclusion of the current season.

Not that Chelsea has been outstanding. West Ham has not been good.

O’Hara, a former midfielder for Tottenham, continued,

“It’s shocking what they’re producing, it’s actually disgraceful.”

Fans of West Ham are making the long trip to witness this London derby,

which is a major match for the team. They are moving around.

Moyes stated last week that he has not had any communication at all and

that his future won’t be decided until the summer.

This is due to the fact that we have already agreed among ourselves that we will speak at the conclusion of the season.

I realize there’s a lot of conjecture out there. However, we must correct the situation.”

Tim Steidten, the technical director of West Ham,

has since been prohibited from entering the first team dressing room for the

duration of the season while he develops a succession plan.

However, Moyes is adamant that there hasn’t been a fight, saying, “We stay focused and don’t want any distractions.”

“Tim’s got his job to do, I’ve got my job to do. We’ve got three games to play and we want to keep focused on those.

We’re just going about our jobs. My job is to win the games and I’ll do everything I can to do that.”
