If Leeds United is promoted back to the Premier League, Fotomac claims they will make an offer to recruit

Michy Batshuayi this summer.

The Turkish news source states on their website (May 4) that the Whites have already spoken with the Belgium

international’s representatives and are awaiting his arrival before making an offer for the remainder of the

season.

The 30-year-old’s contract expires this summer, but the Istanbul club has the option to extend it by an

additional year, which they intend to do. In the event that Daniel Farke’s team makes it back to the top division

through the playoffs, they still intend to make an offer to bring the player to Elland Road.

Leeds United requires a consistent goal scorer.

Leeds has now lost out on automatic promotion due to a bad run of play in the last few weeks of the season,

but a major problem for the entire team has been the absence of a consistent goal scorer at number nine.

Joel Piroe has only managed two goals in his in 15 games, while Patrick Bamford, while on hot streaks

occasionally, is not someone to hang your hat on.

Batshuayi is one of the best players available who is realistic for the Whites, so having someone on the club who

can consistently strike the net would have been a great boost.

Having previously won the Premier League with Chelsea and scored the game-winning goal, he has excellent

experience playing in the highest level and would undoubtedly be a valuable addition to Farke’s system.

But it’s undoubtedly just a pipe dream if he has nothing but Premier League football to give him. Therefore,

obtaining promotion through the playoffs must come first, and any transfer discussions will come after that.
