Estêvão, a young Brazilian player, has been advised to consider his options thoroughly before moving to

Chelsea, rather than Brighton, Nottingham Forest, or Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Journalist Bruno Andrade writes on the young player today since there are persistent rumors in Brazil that he

would soon join Chelsea.

Clubs throughout Europe are apparently keeping an eye on the highly regarded young player as he continues to

progress quickly at Palmeiras, and the Blues are reportedly pressing to try to get a deal over the finish line.

He would be the most recent of several young Brazilians to become well-known in their native country before

relocating to Europe.

On that front, however, the success rate is frequently hit or miss; more players fail to make a lasting impression

and eventually vanish than succeed.

Big clubs have undoubtedly been accused of doing this in the past—signing young players,

allowing them to be absorbed by the system, and then seeing them turn out to be failures.

Andrade expresses concern that Estêvão would experience such, stating that teams like Brighton,

Nottingham Forest, and Wolves would be far better for him.

“The departure of young talent to two powerful English clubs, Chelsea and Manchester City (City Group,

in this case), is already being viewed with great suspicion by the Brazilian market.” A lot of players wind up

being repeatedly loaned, being underestimated, and worse, some of them are even “forgotten.”

“Lucas Piazon is among the most remarkable examples. Wallace, Kenedy, Yan Couto, Kayky, Arthur Sales,

Metinho, Savinho (??? ), and others are also on the list. And it can go up—hopefully not—with people like

Andrey Santos, David Washington, and Angelo.

Therefore, some people are starting to support transfers to weaker teams like Benfica, Porto, Sporting, Ajax,

PSV, Monaco, Nottingham Forest, Brighton, Wolverhampton, Leverkusen, etc. that have a high appreciation or

resale value.
