Which UDFAs are most likely to be added to the Lions roster?

Undrafted rookies have every chance to reach the final 53-man roster, as the Detroit Lions make clear.

The Lions placed a lot of emphasis on offensive line depth throughout the draft.

On the other hand, they refrained from using a pick in the center position.

Insurance is never a bad thing, especially considering Frank Ragnow’s numerous ailments from the previous season.

Graham Glasgow is the team’s backup center right now.

Glasgow is a starting guard for the club and would benefit them by sticking in his position.

The Lions may have added three UDFA centers, including Eguakun, for this reason.

The Florida graduate is the best-tuned of the three and a potent run-blocker.

CB Norris Morice

There have been a number of undrafted free agents who have either made

the 53-man roster of the Lions or other teams out of training camp in Campbell’s three prior seasons as head coach.

Steven Gilmore was added to the roster the previous season, while Starling Thomas V was sent

to Arizona following his release from the Lions.

Norris shares a similar makeup with those athletes.

With 17.5 tackles for loss in his final two seasons at Fresno State, he is a hard-hitter.

Considering that he had two interceptions in the previous campaign,

he can also contribute in the passing game. Having spent a lot of time as a slot cornerback,

Norris is also an inside-out player.

The physical cornerback seems to be more than capable of making an impact on coverage teams as well.

Steele Chambers, LB
