Jimmy Butler Utters Confident Statement About Heat’s Playoff Fate

The Miami star gave an honest interview recently.

The Boston Celtics eliminated the Miami Heat from the NBA playoffs in five games.

But standout player Jimmy Butler thinks things would have been different had he been healthy.

Against the Philadelphia 76ers in the play-in tournament, Butler damaged his MCL.

He was absent from every one of the five Celtics games.

“Boston would be at home if I was playing,” Butler previously stated in a Rock the Bells interview.

“New York would sure be f-king at home.”

This season, the Celtics easily won the Eastern Conference with a 64–18 record.

But Butler’s confidence is probably derived by their recent postseason experience against their opponents.

In the conference finals in 2020 and 2023, the Heat defeated Boston.

Butler, who averaged 24.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game against the Celtics,

was chosen the MVP of the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals.

After a brief interview with Rock the Bells, Butler addressed Tom Thibodeau, the coach of the New York Knicks.

Thibodeau was Butler’s coach when he played for the Chicago Bulls from 2011 to 2015 and the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2017 to 2019.

Following their six-game victory against the Philadelphia 76ers,

Thibodeau and the Knicks will take on the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Butler remarked, “I love Thibs, but I don’t want him to win.” “I want to beat the hell out of you,

Thibs, but I still love you.” It resembles a one-sided partnership. You and I are in love.

I’m not in love with you, but I do adore you.

“The Heat will pay Butler, 34, more than $48 million the following season.

His contract includes a $52.4 million player option for the 2025–2026 season.
