West Ham United has appointed Frank Lampard as the Club’s interim Head Coach.

Football Insider has learned that West Ham decided against giving David Moyes a contract extension early this year as a result of pressure from supporter organizations.

At the beginning of the season, David Sullivan and the other members of the Hammers board were prepared to come to an agreement with Moyes on a two-year extension.

However, as fan discontent over the manager’s strategies and the team’s style of play has grown,

negotiations over a new contract have subsequently stopped.

The disapproval felt by a few powerful fan bases is thought to have played a major role,Frank Lampard - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

since their pressure forced the club’s management to abandon plans to give the Scotsman new terms at the London Stadium.

According to Football Insider, Moyes told his friends in private that he “can’t win the fans over whatever I do” as the rumors about his future got louder last week.

Unless something incredibly unexpected happens, the 61-year-old is now anticipated to quit the team when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

Given a contract twist, David Moyes is expected to depart West Ham.
For Moyes, the last several months have been challenging as his on-field performance has declined and speculation over his future has grown.

The Hammers were eliminated from Europe on April 18 after losing to Bayer Leverkusen in the quarterfinals.

Since the start of the season, the team has only won four games. While the 2-2 draw with Liverpool on April 27 was a good outcome,

the devastating 5-2 loss to Crystal Palace on April 21 prompted many club supporters to demand his resignation.

West Ham is reportedly in talks with Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim last week, and the club is also evaluating the market for a replacement.

Since it now looks as though Moyes’ time at the London Stadium is running out,

there doesn’t seem to be much he can do to convince the board to extend his contract past this season.
