Rangers are tracking a “Rolls Royce” player that Michael Beale wanted to sign during his time at Ibrox,

according to a new transfer report.

Rangers Transfer News

Philippe Clement understands the importance of a strong summer transfer window, especially since numerous players,

notably Borna Barisic, John Lundsram, and Kemar Roofe, are expected to move on free transfers.

Rangers are thought to be following Macarthur teenager Raphael Borges Rodrigues, who presently plays in Australia’s A-League.

The winger, described as a “sensation” by journalist Pete O’Rourke, might be a long-term Ibrox player.

Meanwhile, West Ham utility man Ben Johnson is due to leave the London Stadium on a free transfer this summer,

and the Gers are apparently interested in signing him.

The 24-year-old has made 14 Premier League appearances this season, but only four have been starts, underscoring why he could go.

Rangers could potentially sign Abdallah Sima, who is currently on loan from Brighton,

on a permanent basis, according to writer Dean Jones.

“A few other Premier League clubs have kept an eye on him in recent years,

and I believe he’s a wonderful prospect.

But optimism appears to be there that Rangers will tie this one up at a fee that is absolutely from the bargain basement.

Following the release of a new transfer report, it appears that a move for a long-term objective is also possible.

Rangers eye “Rolls Royce” Beale target

According to The Daily Record, Birmingham City defender Dion Sanderson is a target for Rangers this summer,

having showed an interest in him under Beale’s leadership. “According to Record Sport,

Rangers have had their eye on Birmingham defender Dion Sanderson for some time.

“The 24-year-old’s name was on a list of potential targets which was drawn up way back when Beale was still in charge and Sanderson remains a person of interest where the Ibrox club is concerned.”

While any mention of Beale can elicit negative reactions from certain Rangers fans, given his dismal tenure as manager,

he was correct to see Sanderson as a viable alternative, and he could be a great addition this summer.

The Englishman has started 36 Championship games for Birmingham this season,

and despite his side’s impending relegation to League One on Saturday,

he has had a solid personal season, averaging 3.3 clearances and 1.8 aerial battle victories per game in the championship.

Appearances 36

Former Sunderland boss Lee Johnson reportedly described Sanderson as “an absolute Rolls Royce” of a player,

showcasing his abilities during their time at the Stadium of Light,

and he may be an excellent centre-back option for Rangers next season, bringing depth and quality to Clement’s squad.
