Thomas Tuchel news emerges at West Ham United after previous conversations held

West Ham spoke with Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel after he left Chelsea,

but the German had misgivings about coming, according to Sami Mokbel.

According to a Daily Mail journalist, the Hammers’ interest in Tuchel is long-term,

since he has been linked with replacing David Moyes at the London Stadium.

He went on to say that the scenario regarding his interest in the role may have altered,

although it is doubtful given his reservations in the past.

Mokbel said on the JDS Podcast [1 May]: “They’ve had a long-term interest in Tuchel, but I know when Tuchel first left Chelsea,

West Ham were keen, and Tuchel had qualms about joining the club. I don’t know if that will have changed.”

West Ham’s search for a manager includes an update on Thomas Tuchel.

Moyes’ future at the London Stadium has yet to be determined, despite ongoing links with other managers; nevertheless,

given Mokbel’s allegation, it appears doubtful that Tuchel will be the next manager to take over.

However, it has been stated elsewhere that Tuchel is eager to return to the Premier League after leaving Chelsea in 2022,

and that technical director Tim Steidten, who is leading the managerial search, regards him highly.

With Bayern Munich contesting in the Champions League’s latter stages,

Tuchel has the opportunity to win his second Champions League championship after doing so with the Blues,

putting him in an enticing position for the Hammers.

However, if they could persuade him to dismiss his previous qualms about the appointment,

it would be a huge coup for David Sullivan and the board, bringing a Champions League-winning manager to the London Stadium.
