Formal madrid star set to sign for saint on free transfer.

Che Adams of the SAINTS is a nominee for the April Championship Player of the Month honor.

The Scotland international striker helped Saints advance to automatic promotion by scoring six goals in eight games.

After three straight losses, Southampton’s season faltered, but manager Russell Martin singled out Adams for commendation.

Adams, 27, supported goals against Ipswich Town and Watford with braces against Coventry City and Preston at home.

Adams’s contract with Saints expires this summer, and because he was unable to negotiate a new agreement,Southampton Scores, Stats and Highlights - ESPN

it appears that he will be moving for free to a Premier League team.

The former Birmingham City player will face Haydon Roberts (Bristol City), Emmanuel Latte Lath (Middlesbrough), and Fabio Carvalho (Hull City).

Carvalho, who joined on loan from Liverpool in January, finished with five goals and two assists in seven games.

In six games, including one versus Saints, Latte Lath scored seven of his team’s fourteen goals in April and provided an assist.

The 21-year-old Roberts has settled into his position on the left side of a Bristol City defense that has only let in two goals in six games.

The EFL CEO Trevor Birch, Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies,

and Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman will make up the judging panel that will select the award winners on Friday, May 3.

One of the major concerns surrounding this encounter right now is Southampton’s strategy for Saturday’s matchup at Leeds United.

Whatever happens at Elland Road, Saints will finish fourth in the Championship, so their only priorities are form and confidence rather than points.
