Celtic Transfer News: Pay £5m for Idah or a million or so more for Miovski

According to reports Norwich City would be willing to sell Adam Idah this summer, with a price of £5 million being quoted.

The better the Irishman does at Celtic the higher the price increases,

we were talking about him being worth £3m when he came at Lennoxtown.

The Irishman has been on loan to Celtic since the end of January and he’s had a decent stay despite not being a regular starter.

His goal tally of seven goals in 11 appearances makes for impressive reading,

with a chunk of those goals contributing massively to us being in the driving seat for the league title.

Adam is obviously a gifted player who is still learning the game, but is he worth the £5 million fee?

Yes, I suppose he is. He’s a young international who is tall, strong, and agile,

and can play in any of the front three positions. Most importantly, he can score goals.

Adam has a bright future in the game, and £5 million is a respectable asking price given the current market.

But there is also a striker now playing in our league who is receiving a lot of attention,

and he is someone we all know well: Aberdeen’s Bojan Miovski. The North Macedonian is a very talented player,

with all the same contributions as the Irishman, but is perhaps just a touch a little bit more technically gifted.

He also knows our game, having scored 24 goals in 49 games across all competitions for the Dons this season.

So, what’s not to enjoy about Miovski. His asking price will be slightly higher than Idah’s,

with the Dons likely demanding a fee of £6 million or more for their talisman.

And, like Idah’s valuation, it’s a reasonable fee in this market.

So, of Idah and Miovski, who would you prefer? Ideally, both, but that will never happen.

I believe it all depends on Brendan Rodgers and how much the club is ready to pay.

It also makes you question about Korean striker Oh’s future with Celtic.

He hasn’t appeared in any recent matchday squads and could be transferred on in the summer as

Brendan Rodgers reshapes his squad for the Champions League.
