Spurs boss confirms key player is out against Chelsea in game he wanted to play

Ange Postecoglou, spurs’ boss, has revealed that one of his important players will miss tomorrow night’s match against Chelsea, a game in which he would have preferred to participate.

Tomorrow night, Spurs travel to Chelsea for a 7.30 p.m. Premier League match. Prior to the game, Postecoglou was questioned about the team’s latest developments.

According to Fabrizio Romano, forward Timo Werner will now miss the remainder of current season in addition to tomorrow’s match against Chelsea.

Ange Postecoglou states, “He will miss the remainder of the season as there are two and a half weeks remaining.”

The German international had a very up and down time at the club but he did make himself a bit of a fan favourite during his spell.

In the end though, things just didn’t work out between Werner and Chelsea, and he soon returned to his former club RB Leipzig to try and reignite his career.

He then made a surprise move to join Chelsea’s rivals Tottenham on a loan deal, something that shocked many.

Werner has performed ok for Spurs and grown to be a rather significant member of the team. But an injury has now robbed him of the opportunity to play and even score against his old team.

It will be fascinating to see whether Levi Colwill, Reece James, Christopher Nkunku, or Raheem Sterling will be available. Given that all four of them have returned to full training for Chelsea this week.

Mauricio Pochettino will be addressing with the media shortly to discuss his team news for the match.

The Blues have a big game coming up!
