When Leicester City plays Blackburn on Saturday lunchtime, a number of players are expected to be playing for
the last time. It could be another memorable game when Leicester City lifts the Championship trophy, but it
could also be a tearful affair with a few fond farewells. Fans will recall in the past when players like Danny
Simpson, Shinji Okazaki, and Marcin Wasilewski signed off at the King Power Stadium, knowing it was their
final match with the club. Now, there are plenty of players who could fall into that same category.

Iheanacho hasn’t started a game for City since December 2 and seems to have fallen to the bottom of the squad’s striker hierarchy in recent weeks.

It is anticipated that he would depart this summer due to his contract expiration and lack of playing time under Maresca. This will enable him to return to Italy, where his reputation is still high.
This season, Ndidi has become Maresca’s go-to player in offensive midfield alongside Dewsbury-Hall, and that seems like it should result in a new contract.
