After spending two years on loan at Northampton Town, teenage midfielder Marc Leonard is someone Jon

Brady believes Celtic should consider.
Leonard had an extremely successful stint with the Cobblers, appearing in just under 100 games over the course

of two years.
The 22-year-old was crucial to their advancement to League One the previous season, and he has guided them

to an outstanding 14th-place finish in England’s third division this time around.

Born in Glasgow and having previously attended the academy of Hearts and Rangers, Leonard joined Brighton

in the Premier League in 2018.

Brady, who has only been his manager for the past two years, believes the Hoops should consider making a

move for the Scotland youth international because of the progress he has made south of the border.

He stated: [RecordSport] “I think Marc Leonard is someone that both Rangers and Celtic should be looking at

in the near and long term.”Although I am aware that both sides have excellent midfield players,

Marc is a superb young Scottish player.

“I think he can play all the way to the top, and if the Rangers or Celtics were to make a move for him,

I think his talent would help them both succeed.”

Although there are now plenty of options for the Celtic midfield, with increased interest in Matt O’Riley and

Paulo Bernardo‘s loan about to expire, more players might be needed in the summer.

Callum O’Hare, a player from Coventry, has been linked to a free transfer to Parkhead, but a deal might be

difficult to close given the interest of Premier League teams.

Aside from his manager’s suggestion, Leonard might be a desirable choice, but no firm plans to transfer have

surfaced.
