Kieran Tierney finally agrees to join Aston Villa on free transfer in the summer – Personal terms agreed.

Aston Villa are interested in signing Kieran Tierney from Premier League rivals Arsenal during the summer transfer season, according to TEAMtalk. Tierney is currently on loan at Real Sociedad and is due to return to his parent club Arsenal at the end of the season. Arsenal are willing to sell the 26-year-old Scotland international left-back for £25 million.

Villa boss Unai Emery is allegedly looking to hire a new left-back during the summer transfer window. The former Arsenal manager seeks competition for Lucas Digne and Alex Moreno, and Tierney is regarded as the best candidate. This season, the Scottish left-back has made 11 starts and four substitute appearances in La Liga for Sociedad, assisting twice.

Arsenal currently leads the Premier League table with 71 points from 31 matches, tied with second-placed Liverpool on goal difference. Villa are fifth in the standings, with 60 points after 32 games, level with Tottenham Hotspur, who are fourth after 31 games.
