Georges Laraque: A great from Edmonton wants to play in Boston.

In the National League, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are the greatest tandem.

The luxury for the Oilers is that they can rely on two of the top five players in the world.

However, the outcomes are still pending at this time. The Oilers risk losing one of their two best players if they don’t act quickly.

I mention this because Georges Laraque made a significant announcement on BPM Sports this afternoon.

The well-known former Oilers player in Edmonton stated that Leon Draisaitl might depart if the Oilers were to lose in the first round of the playoffs this year. since he wants to perform in Boston.

Although Draisaitl was with the Bruins, Georges Laraque stated he didn’t believe it. Thankfully:

Next year, Draisaitl will play out the remaining $8.5 million of his existing contract:

The Habs will need to pray that the Oilers move Draisaitl to a team other than Boston before the summer is up if he does decide to depart Edmonton. We agree because no one wants to see the German territory split off from the Habsburgs.

Furthermore, the Bruins might have enough of room to bring him to Boston because, aside from David Pastrnak and Charlie McAvoy, they don’t have many huge contracts.

Furthermore, with the cap rising in the upcoming years…

All it takes to send nightmares to Montreal is to picture a Draisaitl and Pastrnak combination on the Bruins.

Leon Draisaitl aspires to live up to his talent and has what it takes to be the best center on any National League team.

It’s comparable to Evgeni Malkin, who spent his whole career trailing Sidney Crosby. However, Malkin’s three Stanley Cup victories behind Crosby make a difference.

It should be entertaining to watch. With a contract that pays $8.5 million a season through the summer of 2021, Leon Draisaitl is going to be extremely wealthy, and it’s likely that he will find another home outside of Edmonton.
