Travis Kelce Locks In New NFL Contract, Now the Highest Paid Tight End in the League!

Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs’ star pass-catcher, has signed a two-year contract extension that would make him the NFL’s highest-paid tight end.

For years, the 34-year-old tight end accepted a reduced wage and revealed why he was never paid all-star money, despite his great stats.

In 2023, his pay ranked 54th among players, totaling approximately $11.25 million.

Now we’re learning about his two-year extension.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport tweeted, “The #Chiefs and All-Pro and Pro Bowl TE Travis Kelce have agreed to terms on a new 2-year contract extension that will make him the NFL’s highest-paid tight end, sources say.” Mike Simon, his long-time agent, closed the sale.

Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback, responded to the news with the following tweet: “I told yall I’d never let him leave!! Congratulations, my guy! @tkelce.”

According to Tom Pelissero, an NFL insider, “#Chiefs star Travis Kelce’s contract extension tacks on two years and $34.25 million to the two years remaining on his old deal.”

Travis will receive an additional $34.25 million on top of his previous contract, as well as a contract extension through the 2027 season.
