The Foxes made huge moves last summer with the goal of returning to the Premier League.

Yunus Akgun, Conor Coady, Abdul Fatawu,

and Mads Hermansen all signed contracts with unique clauses that would kick in if Leicester were promoted.

According to The Athletic, Leicester City would have to spend €17 million for Fatawu if they got promoted.

The loan fee paid was €750.000, for a total cost of roughly €17.750 million.

Given the young flank forward’s lack of experience at the highest club level,

with only a handful of appearances for Sporting to report, the sum appears to be significant.

Tipsbladet and Bold, two Danish news outlets,

recently published an article indicating that Mads Hermansen could receive a €500,000 payout.

This is believed to be a bonus that is awarded if a promotion is obtained.

Hermansen has been an invaluable addition to the club and squad,

fulfilling Enzo Maresca’s expectations and taking a unique style to playing out of the back.

He was picked to the Sky Bet Championship team for the season alongside Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester.

Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville was named player of the season.

When Leicester let their captain leave last summer,

they had to pay Wolves £1 million plus a promotion bonus as part of the Conor Coady transaction.

Yunus Akgun also moved to Leicester on loan last summer,

but the provision in his contract prevents him from moving because his game total does not exceed 25; he is currently on 21 league games.

To meet commitments, Mail Online today indicated in a piece that homegrown players such as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall,

Hamza Choudhury, Ben Nelson, and Kasey McAteer might all go to help balance the books.
