Coventry City has fired warnings to Ipswich Town amid automatic promotion boost.

According to manager Kieran McKenna, Ipswich Town will play with “bravery, confidence and great intensity”

when they visit Coventry City in an attempt to earn a crucial three points that would guarantee them automatic

promotion to the Premier League.

The Tractor Boys play the Sky Blues at the CBS Arena on Tuesday night in a game in hand before finishing their

incredible league campaign on Saturday at home against Huddersfield, which is all but doomed. Meanwhile,

Leeds, who have a goal differential of seven more than Ipswich, play Southampton at Elland Road to wrap up

their play.

Due to a demanding schedule that has resulted in multiple injuries and a new suspension before their final two

games, Mark Robins’ team has failed to qualify for the playoffs.

“We knew we needed five points going into the Hull game (a 3-3 draw on Saturday), and the goal is to try and

get a result on Tuesday night,” stated the Ipswich manager. His third-place team has lost their last four games.

“We want to keep everything under control going into the final game, so hopefully we can win.

We are aware that, no matter what, we will return to Portman Road on Saturday to try to win automatic

promotion to the Premier League. What a great opportunity this is; we will take advantage of it and strive to

give a performance on Tuesday.

Town’s attempt to win a second straight promotion has faltered recently; in their previous four games, they

have drawn three times and lost to Norwich. Leeds has only managed four points from five games, and they

have also staggered towards the finish line.
