Ange Postecoglou has been tipped to become the first Premier League manager to lose his job in the new season.

Louis Saha acknowledges that when he considers the first team to be fired of the campaign,

the Australians are the first employer that comes to mind.

The start of the new Premier League season is still two weeks away,

and Postecoglou’s first game as manager of Tottenham is an intimidating away match at Brentford.

Beginning in June, the 57-year-old quit Celtic, and on July 1st, he formally assumed leadership of North London.

He will be the first Australian manager in Premier League history.

The team’s preseason tour in Australia has been uneventful,

starting with a crushing loss to West Ham followed by a thrashing against Lion City Sailors.

A little issue about Harry Kane’s circumstances also hangs over Daniel Levy and Postecoglou at Spurs.

With one year remaining on his present contract, the 30-year-old England striker is apparently unwilling to sign a new one.

According to Saha, all of this would put a lot of pressure on Postecoglou at his previous team.

“It’s difficult to respond to this question,” he said to bettingodds.com.

I believe that managing Tottenham is a difficult task,

as seen by the struggles of a few elite managers there in recent years.

Should Spurs struggle to get off to a strong start in the first few games, Postecoglou may feel some pressure.

“Kane is the first name that comes to mind when I think of the first sacking because

the situation hasn’t been resolved and there are a lot of questions because there is a new manager and a new system.”

“It is really hard to predict what’s going to happen and in modern football even if you are a manager of a newly-promoted team and you struggle in the first 10 games you could get sacked which I just don’t think is fair at all, so it is hard to say.”

Only a few weeks prior, fans had predicted that Spurs would fall under Postecoglou in the upcoming season.

Betfair disclosed that the only team with more betting on them to lose than the North London team is Luton Town.

It makes sense that Spurs are a massive 55/1 favorite to be demoted.

But that unlikelihood of the scenario hasn’t put people off gambling on the club losing its prestigious top-flight status under Postecoglou in his debut season as a Premier League manager.
