Joel Piroe has been underwhelming, therefore Leeds United will want to upgrade shortly.

In the hopes of producing yet another thrilling match, Leeds United traveled to Loftus Road to take on Queens

Park Rangers. Daniel Farke’s team ultimately emerged victorious with three more points.

However, the Whites’ effort and outcome at QPR saw them collapse to a dismal 4-0 loss in the Championship,

creating an opportunity for Ipswich Town to move up to second place with two games remaining.

Although Leeds is now in second place on goal differential after to their draw against Hull City this past

weekend, the Tractor Boys’ performance in London doesn’t exactly inspire confidence going into their last

league game of the regular season at home against Russell Martin’s Southampton.

After yet another poor performance at QPR while wearing a Whites shirt, Joel Piroe is unlikely to start this

potentially pivotal match against the Saints. A replacement for the former Swansea City attacker is already in

the works.

What Leeds may gain from Hzolek

Hzolek, who moved to Germany after being described as “extraordinary” by his own agent Pavel Paska during

his days with Sparta Prague, was a lethal finisher in his home country.

Hzolek, who is only 21 years old, scored 40 goals in 132 games in the Czech capital, 15 of which came from just 18 games in the 2020–21 campaign.

This season, despite having few opportunities to play in the starting lineup every week, the talented forward has

scored seven goals across all competitions while utilizing a wide range of offensive positions.

Hzolek will be seen as an improvement over Piroe as a versatile and adaptable presence ready to take the leap to

play in either the demanding demands of the Championship or the high intensity of the Premier League.

Since joining Leverkusen, Hzolek has lined up even down the left wing ten times from 76 matches.

With this transfer development, Piroe will be worried about whether he is retained at Leeds.

Piroe was a weak and passive presence at Loftus Road last time out.
