Rangers to rival Celtic for Callum O’Hare as leading candidates named

According to TBR Football, Rangers is still in the running to sign Callum O’Hare, a midfielder for Coventry City, during the summer transfer season.

Many teams are eager to sign the soon-to-be free agent, including the Rangers, according to an

online outlet that ran a story on Saturday, April 27.

Along with Southampton and Leicester City, who will play in the Premier League, the arch rivals of the Gers, Celtic, are also reportedly in the race.

Burnley, who are expected to be demoted to the English Championship, are reportedly the front-runners to recruit him at this time.

Callum O’Hare contract situation at Coventry City

It is hardly surprising that a number of clubs are lining up to try and sign him, considering he

is available on a free deal.

O’Hare would surely strengthen Rangers’ team, especially the starting XI. Robins had called

O’Hare a “brilliant person” earlier in the season.

The 25-year-old, who has 10 goals in all competitions, was on target during Coventry’s

heartbreaking loss to Manchester United last weekend.

O’Hare is primarily utilised as an offensive midfielder, but he can also play deeper, which would

allow Philippe Clement more options.

Although signing the Englishman won’t be simple, the Light Blues should continue this strategy as

the summer window draws near.
