Hoops Done deal; £9.4m deal agreed for Heart striker

As Rangers supporters labor and struggle to decide who the team’s premier number nine for the upcoming season should be

—Lawrence Shankland, Abdallah Sima, Bojan Miovski, or Cyriel Dessers—

Ibrox Noise would like to quickly remind the supporters of the following:

Dessers would already be among Europe’s best scorers if he “took” every opportunity that he misses.

This season, he would score 40 goals or more. He would not have gone to Rangers for £6 million from relegated Cremonese.

If Sima had been everything Brighton believed he could be,Lawrence Shankland says Hearts form gives him 'good opportunity' to be at Euros | beIN SPORTS

they wouldn’t have sent him on loan; instead, they would have paid a Premier League team in excess of £50 million to acquire him.

Shankland would not be peaking at age 28 and missing as many games as he does if he were the elite striker that many Rangers supporters seem to believe he is.

At this stage of his career, he wouldn’t be playing in the SPL for a team as lowly as Hearts.

Furthermore, Rangers are reportedly vying with a Championship team in Ipswich for the services of Miovski,

who, at 24, would not be playing for bottom-of-the-table Aberdeen in the SPL if he were the clinical foreign striker that some Rangers supporters suggest he is.

When we examine the top strikers from the previous ten or more years after 2012, Alfredo Morelos and Antonio Colak stand out the most.

Aside from one season at the Rangers, none of the seven tries were extremely productive,

but one stood out in the drab Finnish league. He wasn’t able to land a decent job after us for a reason.

Aside from a loan stint at Malmo, the other was a nomad who had played for no major clubs before joining Rangers. If one were to refer to them as large.

The strikers Rangers appear to desire are often beyond of their reach; instead,

they have to scout for an undiscovered gem who happens to score a lot of goals in Scotland.

Even with Rangers, no striker in a respectable league with a season total of more than twenty goals will be joining the SPL.

These days, we have to rely on other strategies to bring in strikers; gone are the days when we could draw in a Jelavic or Prso.

Supporters who are angry with Dessers for missing opportunities are missing the bigger picture:

he wouldn’t have had the nomadic career he has and we wouldn’t have been able to get him if he had been scoring all or even most of them.
