The manager of Newcastle, Eddie Howe, has acknowledged that the team “aren’t in control” of

The Brazilian’s clause only lasts for one month, from the last week of May to the last week of June, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano’s revelation on Thursday night. This could entice

teams like Arsenal, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain, who have all been linked to a

move for the 26-year-old.

In response to a query concerning Guimaraes’ purported £100 million release clause, which

is set to expire at the end of June, Howe said: “That was well-planned and structured by the club,

in a sense that there’s a deadline.”
