Recent months have seen a great deal of conjecture around Guimaraes’ future at

St. James’ Park, with numerous elite clubs in Europe bidding for his services.

Journalist Rudy Galetti now reports that the Brazilian is anticipated to depart the team

during the impending summer transfer window.

Galetti said that the 26-year-old’s prospective suitors include Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona,

and Premier League powerhouses Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City.

At the conclusion of the 2024 Copa America, the midfielder’s future is anticipated to be finalised

by the Magpies.

Howe confirms Guimaraes release clause: We aren’t in control of his future

The manager of Newcastle, Eddie Howe, has acknowledged that the team “aren’t in control” of

Bruno Guimaraes’ future, following rumours that the midfield player has a £100 million release

clause that expires in a month.

The Brazilian’s clause only lasts for one month, from the last week of May to the last week of June, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano’s revelation on Thursday night. This could entice

teams like Arsenal, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain, who have all been linked to a

move for the 26-year-old.

In response to a query concerning Guimaraes’ purported £100 million release clause, which

is set to expire at the end of June, Howe said: “That was well-planned and structured by the club,

in a sense that there’s a deadline.”

“Continuous speculating is unhealthy for both us and the gamer, so we don’t want it.

“It goes without saying that I want to centre our team on him and that we want to keep him.

He appears content and at ease, and his form has been excellent.
