The Belgian manager believes his players have moved over the horrific double header against Ross County and Dundee.

After witnessing Rangers defeat Celtic once previously,

Philippe Clement has issued a challenge to his team to repeat the feat.

When the big Belgian took over as manager in October of last year,

he turned around a seven-point deficit that flop boss Michael Beale had left behind.

But now that he’s back in the hunt, his team is trailing behind after serious mistakes this

month in Dingwall and Dundee allowed Brendan Rodgers’ Parkhead pacesetters to pull three points ahead.

However, tomorrow’s match at Dens Park against the Rangers,

who play St. Mirren in Paisley, gives Rodgers’ team the chance to put further pressure on the Hoops.

Clement believes there is no reason his group can’t accomplish the same results again. “We’re the team that took the most points if we look back at the last six months working here together,” he remarked.

“During that time, we scored four more points than Celtic. Six months ago,

I believe everyone in the club would have signed up for it, since no one thought it was conceivable.

Now, it is repeating that once more. Although they have demonstrated it, it is not a given.

They must now demonstrate it once more over the course of the next six games.

By overcoming that deficit and outscoring a team that was ahead by seven points, the team had already performed admirably.

“Were we pleased with Dundee and Ross County this past week? Not at all, please.

Not the players, not myself, nobody. However, everything else has calmed down, which worked against Hearts.

They are without a doubt the league’s third-best squad.

“They arrived at the Scottish Cup semifinal fully motivated.

I read every item about their confidence before the game since they

were having a great run while we were having a terrible run. However,

we deserved to win that game and we did. Game after game, we must keep doing what we’ve been doing.

Clement has been receiving a history lesson on the dramatic final-day events that saw

the Gers win their most cherished trophy back in 2005, and he has Helicopter Sunday hero Alex Rae on his coaching team.

That year, defender Marvin Andrews’ “keep believing” rally cry was answered by Alex McLeish’s club,

and Clement thinks his team will follow suit.

“Alex told me that he became champion in the last four games when he was five points behind,” the speaker stated.

Thus, anything is conceivable. I won’t ask the participants to have faith in God!

Of course, there are plenty of reasons to maintain your faith.

What excuse do you have not to believe when you may return in that manner,

take that many points, and find yourself in this situation? That seems like a terribly dumb idea.

Thus, it’s about carrying out their current actions consistently and with the same tenacity and fortitude.

However, there isn’t enough time for us to get the results wrong.

To get the most out of every game, we simply need to concentrate on giving it our all. That is all that is at stake.

The club’s other out-of-contract players still have time to earn an extension,

according to Clement, who also stated that the Gers have extended an offer to John Lundstram.

Along with Lundstram, loanees Abdallah Sima, Oscar Cortes, and Fabio Silva are also nearing the end of their current contracts,

as are Borna Barisic, Ryan Jack, Kemar Roofe, Leon Balogun, and Jon McLaughlin.

When asked if he had determined who would receive new terms,

Clement responded, “Yes, in the main.” However, six games remain to persuade in alternative ways.

Maybe the best player on the field for the next six games is someone we could not rely on sufficiently the previous season.

Not offering a contract makes no sense. Everything is open to possibilities. It is under their control.

He went on to say, “The club has made offers, but there isn’t an agreement yet,” regarding Lundstram. As of right now, that’s all I have to say.

I’m hoping he stays. I’m sure he enjoys being here and the club.

“It depends on what other teams are offering in this circumstance and what your club can provide.

We’ve previously discussed this a few times, but it bothers me that key players are nearing

the conclusion of their contracts for that reason. It is not, in my opinion, advantageous for a club.

It is undoubtedly something that will never occur again while I am here.
