Official: Manchester City Offers Celtic Joe Hart an ambassadorial position he can’t resist

Joe Hart, Celtic’s custodian, will retire at the conclusion of the season, marking an emotional moment for the man, his team and fans.

The Englishman has given his all in green and white over the last three years, providing true steadiness between the sticks during a period of transition.

He has only progressed during his stay in Glasgow, and reports that he is Celtic’s Player of the Season for the current season attest to this.

Although he has no aspirations to pursue a coaching career and has not taken any badges,

the Daily Record reports that Hart will be handed a non-footballing post at Manchester City this summer, maybe as an ambassador.

The 37-year-old is immensely respected at the Etihad, having made just under 350 appearances for City and winning five major titles.

While a return to Celtic would undoubtedly dismay fans, it is understandable given the ‘keeper’s history with the reigning European champions.

However, in a recent interview with CeltsAreHere and other fan media, Hart admitted that he has informed Brendan Rodgers and Celtic of his availability at all times. Many fans would be pleased if he could stay with the club this summer in some form.
