This summer, Steven Gerrard has been keeping an eye on the right-back as he prepares to move the captain to

Al-Ettifaq.

Although James Tavernier, the captain of Rangers, wants to end his career at Ibrox, the team may accept a £4 million offer this summer from Al-Ettifaq.

According to his former colleague Cammy Bell, former manager Steven Gerrard is considering raiding

Tavernier and Connor Goldson’s previous club in the summer. Even though his team is currently in seventh

place in the lucrative Saudi Pro League, with players like Gini Wijnaldum, Demarai Gray, Jack Hendry, and

Moussa Dembele in the starting lineup, the legendary player from Liverpool has struggled in the Ettifaq dugout

this season.

Former Ibrox and Aston Villa manager Gerrard is expected to head to Rangers in the upcoming window as he

attempts to reinforce his defense. However, Tavernier’s friend Bell, who played with the captain in 2015 before

moving on from Ibrox a year later, has disclosed that he has firsthand knowledge of the defender’s intention to

finish his career at the Light Blues.

However, he acknowledges that the right-back might reconsider if Rangers accept a massive financial offer from

the Middle East. When the former goalkeeper was asked what his pal was thinking while on the Clyde 1

Superscoreboard, he replied, “James Tavernier is set here in Glasgow.”

“I know he is content at Rangers. There, he is content at Rangers.

At some point in the past, I believe he saw his career end at the Rangers.

These offers do come in, though I’m not sure if he still does.

The decision will be made by the club, not the player.

“In the end, he only has two years left, so they need to make an offer that will entice the Rangers to accept it.

Yes, he is thirty-two, and they won’t get ten million pounds selling him.
