Villa are improving under Unai Emery’s leadership as they aim to qualify for the Champions League.

This is a reasonable goal for the Villans’ current Premier League season, as they are sitting in third place.

Heck hadn’t addressed his followers since being appointed, despite his accomplishments, but he has finally released a statement.

What is Chris Heck saying?
The owners of Villa, Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens,

obviously want the team and its brand to be more well-known throughout the world.

Heck’s role at Villa Park going forward is precisely this.

It was going to take some getting used to, though, as he had never worked with a football club or outside of the United States.

Speaking on the official Aston Villa website,

Heck discussed his early days at the team and his reasons for keeping silent.

Regarding that, Heck stated: “I wanted to wait six months [before speaking] because I felt it was a decent amount of time to understand the supporters’ priorities, listen to them,

and ask questions, as well as learn about how things work at Aston Villa.

“Being an inquisitive individual, I refrained from presuming to have the answers until I had dedicated a significant amount of time to living and breathing Aston Villa every day and night.”

Fans will be eager to hear this from a man who will undoubtedly have a significant influence on the team in the future.

He’ll be well served by deepening his grasp of the club and its culture.

His interview conveyed all he thought, even though Villa supporters might have like to hear from him sooner regarding his goals.

The team is having a successful season on the field,

and supporters can now see how things are progressing off the field.
