The former England international announced his retirement from the game earlier this month.

Now, there is talk of a possible comeback to the current Premier League champions,

a team where Joe Hart won two English top flight titles.

Joe Hart will play his farewell club match at Celtic after an incredible career that saw him advance from his

boyhood club Shrewsbury Town through the English football tiers and all the way to Manchester City, with

stops along the way for loan stints in Italy.

But even if the details of Joe Hart’s departure from the team are still unclear—most people agree that he just

didn’t fit manager Pep Guardiola‘s preferred style of play—his time at Manchester City might not be finished

just yet.

The Daily Record claims that Manchester City is planning to extend an emotional invitation to Joe Hart to

return to the Etihad Stadium. This is presumably in exchange for a non-footballing post or an ambassadorial

one.

This is because, according to reports, Hart is still opposed to the concept of taking on a coaching position.

Despite this, Manchester City is willing to speak with Hart, who is still in the process of determining his post-

retirement plans.

The report also notes that Joe Hart has not yet completed any coaches badges and has indicated that a coaching

post in the goalkeeping sector is not likely to be his future career path.

Joe Hart played with the football team for ten seasons, during which he made an amazing 348 appearances in

all competitions. He won 192 of those games, two Premier League crowns, an FA Cup, and a League Cup.

When Hart originally signed with Manchester City in 2006, the North West team paid £100,000 up front for

the goalkeeper, with the possibility of a further £1.5 million if certain conditions were met.

In other goalkeeping news, Manchester City will probably have to fight to maintain hold of Stefan Ortega

Moreno this summer. The German goalkeeper has a contract that expires in 2025 and is drawing interest from

all across the league.
