SPFL confirm ‘Celtic close to perfect in Scottish title success’ after FFP charge to Rangers

The SPFL unexpectedly revealed the post-split schedule today,

along with the whole schedule of games left for all 12 of the top division teams in the nation.

In the wake of a set of results that cemented Dundee’s place in the top half,

the league was divided into the top six and bottom six at the weekend.

With all eyes on the fight for the title, the race for Europe, and the battle to escape the relegation play-off,

the SPFL has officially decided and revealed the schedule for the remaining five rounds of games for each Premiership team.

Turning our attention to the top of the table, Celtic leads Rangers by four points at the momentNo photo description available.

However, a win at Dens Park on Wednesday night would cut that deficit to just one point for Philippe Clement’s team.

Looking ahead, given our current understanding of the post-split games, and putting hypotheticals aside,

there exists a scenario in which Celtic defeats Rangers and goes on to win their second straight league title.

The SPFL has confirmed that the teams will play their farewell derby on Saturday, May 11.

Sky Sports will broadcast this match, which is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.

Naturally, that assumes Brendan Rodgers’ team wins its opening two games against the top six.

This would give Celtic a four-point lead going into their match against Rangers;

a win in that game would take the lead to seven, and after that, there would be just two games left in the season.

Rangers’ three previous matches ending in draws would give Celtic another chance to win the championship.

Rangers CANNOT win the league at Celtic after their stalemate at Dens Park last night.

After the first two post-split games, they could only be separated by a maximum of three points.
