Nottingham Forest has discovered more points deductions dedicision as appeal update emerges

When the appeal update is released, Nottingham Forest may learn of the points deduction decision.

Nottingham Forest may not have to wait long to find out the outcome of their appeal against their points

punishment for breaking financial standards. The Reds are now awaiting the outcome of the appeal hearing

following their points deduction for an FFP violation.

The Reds lost four points last month after breaking the Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

The club filed an appeal against the penalty, and this week they are back in front of an impartial committee to

discuss their case.

By the end of next week, Forest will know whether their appeal was granted, according to Sky Sports News.

There are rumors that the appeal panel has seven days to make a verdict.

The Reds hearing started on Wednesday and ended that same day. The precise date of the decision is unknown,

but because a decision is anticipated in less than a week, the Reds shouldn’t have to wait long to find out what

will happen to them.

Five days following this season’s last round of games, on May 24, the Premier League set a backstop date to

settle the cases of Forest and Everton while both teams are undergoing appeals procedures. On the other hand,

they declared last week that a decision regarding the latter would be disclosed to the public by May 19.

Everton has contested the two points they were docked for a second PSR infraction.

This term, the Toffees have already seen their 10-point deduction lowered to six on appeal.

When Forest’s deduction was made public in March, they issued a forceful statement expressing their “extreme

disappointment” with the hearing’s conclusion. The possibility of the club’s sanction being raised is extremely

slim, however it is not expected to occur.

The reduction of even a single point in their punishment could have a significant impact on their chances of

surviving. With four games remaining, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is currently just one point above the

relegation zone.

The head coach of the Reds discussed last week how his team was being affected by the uncertainty around the

points deduction. He has emphasized time and time again that clarification on the situation is needed.
