Although the team is working to aid Dan James’ recovery, Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has acknowledged

that it will be surprising if he is fit for the final two games of the season.

During Leeds’ 4-3 victory over Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Monday night, the Welshman

sustained a rib injury.

The winger has been receiving treatment from Leeds’ medical staff in an effort to heal from the injury and be

ready for the last two Championship games of the campaign.

While Farke acknowledged that James’ injury typically takes two to three weeks to heal,

he is still optimistic that James will be ready for the season’s last game.

Although he acknowledged that he shouldn’t be ready to play in the near future,

he also acknowledged that it would be a pleasant surprise if James was able to play at Elland Road against

Southampton.

“Normally with this type of injury [Dan James], you are ruled out for two to three weeks,”

the Leeds manager stated during a press conference.

There is yet some hope. To get him ready, our physicians and physiotherapists are working on his

rehabilitation.

“We make every effort to make him accessible.

It’s reasonable to assume that he won’t make it to the game right now, but it would be exciting if he could make it the following week.

James won’t be playing for Farke on Friday night when Leeds visit Loftus Road to play QPR.
