Elkan Baggott’s possible return to Ipswich Town will be the subject of “conversations,” according to Bristol

Rovers manager Matt Taylor.

During the January transfer window, the defender was acquired on loan by Bristol Rovers.

At the end of the current season, Baggott, 21, is scheduled to return to Portman Road.

According to a BristolLive story, Taylor stated: “You always want to keep someone as a manager who performs

like that.” We’ll talk about those later on, but for now, he has to focus on finishing the season strong and

remaining healthy. After that, he’ll return to his parent club, where the league will still be in play, and see where

that leads him.

Bristol Rovers wants to bring back an Ipswich Town guy.

Since making the transition in the winter, Baggott has made 13 appearances for Bristol Rovers,

strengthening their defensive lineup.

Prior to the upcoming season, Ipswich Town must decide what to do with him. He still has more than a year left

on his contract with the Championship promotion hopefuls, which runs until June 2025.

The Indonesian international, who has played seven times for the Tractor Boys first team, came up through the

academy ranks and now has 24 caps.

In order to gain experience, he has previously had loan stints at Gillingham, Cheltenham Town,

and King’s Lynn Town.

He currently has little chance of making Kieran McKenna‘s Ipswich Town starting lineup,

and that likelihood would only decrease if the team were promoted to the Premier League.

At the top of the standings, they are currently in competition with teams like Southampton,

Leeds United, and Leicester City.

Thus, with Bristol Rovers considering a reunion, it might make sense to make another departure.

With former manager Taylor of Rotherham United and Exeter City looking to add his own touch to the team,

the Gas have a busy summer ahead of them. On the last day of the season, they go to Wigan Athletic.
