JOE HART thinks Celtic will be able to “lean on me” whenever he is needed in the future.

The 37-year-old highly regarded custodian has no plans to continue playing following the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden on 25 May.

Hart, who has 75 international caps for England,

responded to Ange Postecoglou’s SOS when he joined Spurs for a bargain £1 million in August 2021.

The charming personality helped the Parkhead side recover from a trophyless season and

the deep heartbreak of failing to win 10 consecutive Premiership titles and the League Cup.

The shotstopper was at his consistent best last season as the Hoops won a world record eighth domestic treble,

and he is on track for a league and Cup double this season.

Brendan Rodgers may struggle to replace the former Manchester City custodian,

but Hart has assured Celtic that he will always be available if needed.I informed the management and the club about this.

But coach a certain team? “That is not something I am looking to do.

“I’ve not taken any coaching badges, that was quite a conscious decision.

“I understand that coaching and management are deeply embedded in many people, but it doesn’t necessary do it for me.

“I want to help, I want to give back, but there are different ways I can do it.”

When asked if he plans to go out in a blaze of glory, Hart replied: “I’m going to try. I’m truly going to put everything on the line.

“That’s what I’ve done throughout my career and sometimes it’s worked, sometimes it hasn’t.”

The countdown to the pinnacle of a glittering career will continue when the champions travel to Dens Park to face Dundee on Sunday.

Hart will then face Hearts, Rangers, Kilmarnock, and St Mirren in the remaining games as Celtic seek their 12th title in 13 years.

The custodian will then focus on a memorable finale against Philippe Clement’s Ibrox squad in the Scottish Cup finals at

the national stadium on the legendary date of May 25 before bowing out, ideally as a winner.
