DONE DEAL: West Ham United  have signed Ipswich town  Kieran McKenna, personal terms agreed as the Tactician will leave by summer

Following a terrible few weeks in East London, David Moyes, the Hammers’ current manager, is coming under more and more pressure.

After their crushing defeat to Crystal Palace, West Ham is currently ranked ninth in the Premier League;

but, because they have played more games than most of their opponents, they will probably fall a few spots before the season is out.

raising questions about the club’s chances of making it to any kind of European play the following season.

Throughout the current campaign, there has been constant talk about Moyes’

future since some supporters are sick of the Scot’s practical style of play.

2019 saw the beginning of the 60-year-old’s second tenure as West Ham’s manager.

They are now a fixture in Europe, having concluded the previous season with the Europa Conference League title.

West Ham slid to 14th place in the previous season as they concentrated on their run in the Europa Conference League,

following consecutive top-seven finishes in the Premier League.

Plotting a Kieran McKenna move by West Ham
The board of the Hammers believes that this summer would be a good moment to name a new manager because Moyes’ present contract is set to expire at the end of this campaign.

Numerous elite coaches from throughout Europe have been connected to the position.

In fact, Feyenoord manager Arne Slot is reportedly highly admired by technical director Tim Steidten,

among others, and free agents Graham Potter and Julen Lopetegui are still available.

Kieran McKenna, the manager of Northern Ireland, is one of numerous names being associated with the position.

After serving as coach at Manchester United in the past,

McKenna is now managing his first team and attempting to lead Ipswich to consecutive promotions,

this time to the Premier League.

In the Championship, the Tractor Boys occupy the automatic promotion slots.

They made it out of League One the previous season and into the second division,

but now they’re aiming for the top division, which would be yet another incredible accomplishment for McKenna.

Although McKenna may not be able to lead Ipswich to consecutive promotions,

the young manager’s aspirations could still lead to opportunities for promotion to the Premier League.

The 37-year-old’s contract with Ipswich is rumored to include a £4 million release clause,

which has reportedly attracted West Ham’s interest.
