Plans for Steidten’s transfer as Moyes faces increasing pressure

The Scotsman’s contract is slated to expire in June, but the Hammers have yet to commit to manager David Moyes and offer him a tangible extension.

Despite Moyes leading them to consecutive campaigns in Europe and a Conference League victory in Prague last year,

supporters don’t seem to agree on whether he is still a good fit going forward.

While many West Ham supporters call for change before 2024–2025,

there have been some fan reservations with the tactician’s tenacious style of play and an unappealing aesthetic.

Reputable reporter Fabrizio Romano reports that West Ham will make the decision about Moyes’s future later.

At the moment, the Irons are concentrated on winning the domestic campaign and traveling as far as possible in Europe.

“I’m not aware of any decisions made about David Moyes by West Ham at this time,

but rumours seem to be continuing,” Romano told CaughtOffside for his Daily Briefing earlier this month.

The Premier League and European football are the club’s primary priorities,

so we’ll talk about anything else later. We’ve probably heard numerous times that Moyes was on the verge of disappearing but is still in place.

Nothing has been decided as of yet.

Regardless of who is in charge, technical director Tim Steidten has the responsibility of bolstering the West Ham team this summer while the 60-year-old’s future is still uncertain.

Given that both Danny Ings and Michail Antonio are getting older,

it is obvious that they need a new striker. They lack a true punch when England international Jarrod Bowen is not playing.

This season, they have relied mostly on him for goal threat.
