Since 2022, United has had the 23-year-old on their radar. Now that his stock is rising,

the Premier League powerhouse is actively considering making an acquisition of him.

Atletico Madrid made a winter bid, which Celtic turned down because they couldn’t sell

the player midway through the year. This interest comes after that bid.

Manchester United has joined the the pursuit of Celtic’s star midfielder, Matt O’Riley, as the competition intensifies ahead of the summer transfer window.

Although Manchester United’s engagement could lead to a bidding war, Diego Simeone,

the manager of Atletico, is eager to revive his interest in the summer.

In addition to these two titans of football, O’Riley has drawn interest from Girona of La Liga

and Inter Milan of Serie A, making the competition for his signature even more fierce.

For the Scottish Premiership, Celtic is predicted to demand a record-breaking sum,

and a bidding war might result in the Hoops earning an additional few million.

Casemiro, Christian Eriksen could be moved on at the end of season

Casemiro had an excellent initial season at Manchester United, but this season he has regressed.

The Brazilian, who is far into his 30s, has had a difficult time keeping up with the intensity and

pace of Premier League play, putting up a number of lacklustre displays in the centre of the Erik ten Hag-led team’s midfield.

When the season ends, Man United may try to let go of both Christian Eriksen, who appears to

be past his prime, and Casemiro. When you combine this with Mason Mount’s unlucky injury

troubles and the terrible loan term of Sofyan Amrabat, teenage wonder Kobbie Mainoo has

been the sole bright spot in the engine room.

Considering his circumstances in Glasgow, it might be costly to recruit the 23-year-old. He would, however, make a solid teammate alongside Mainoo and be an excellent match for the role.

O’Riley would also fit right into the INEOS strategy of signing young athletes with enormous

promise. The Celtic star must therefore be pursued by the Red Devils more aggressively in order to complete a deal as soon as feasible.
