Confirmed :Rangers striker has negotiated terms to join Ipswich Town on free transfer
At the end of the current season, Rangers player John Lundstram is anticipated to join Ipswich Town on a free
transfer, according to Gunebakis journalist Ezgi Alp.
The 30-year-old midfielder is wanted by Trabzonspor, but it seems that Ipswich, the English Championship
leaders, have surpassed the Super Lig squad, per a report from the reporter for the Turkish news site on April
18 via her personal X account.

The midfield player, who has been an essential part of Philippe Clement’s team this year, has a contract that
expires at the conclusion of the current campaign, but it was expected that he would negotiate an agreement to
stay at Ibrox longer.
However, the source claims that Ipswich, who are vying for a promotion to the Championship, have prevailed in
the recruitment race. The player’s wage demands, totaling £32,000 per week (£1.7 million yearly),
deterred Turkish team Trabzonspor from showing as much interest as they should have.
John Lundstram to leave Rangers?
The news of Lundstram‘s departure seemed to be making things worse for the Gers, whose season—which had
started off so brilliantly—is set to come apart as a result of a string of subpar games.
The 30-year-old center midfielder has established himself as a dependable player under Clement,
being virtually constant in the middle of the field. Actually, he is one of just four players on the club who has
played more than 4,000 minutes across all competitions. In contrast, Lundstram has played over 1,000 more
minutes than the fifth-ranked player on the list, John Souttar.
It is clear from this that Clement would prefer not to have one of his key players depart for free,
and it was expected that he would agree to a new deal. But it appears that Ipswich has moved ahead of the
opposition, and without transfer funds to help with the process, there will be a large vacuum to fill if Lundstram
departs.
