Before Saturday’s triumph in west London, Daniel Farke had managed a stretch of ten league games without a victory.

Stuart Webber, the sporting director of Norwich, stated: “We feel that now is the right time for a change to give

ourselves the best opportunity of retaining our Premier League status”

However, it has been decided to split ways with Farke as Norwich battles to survive in the Premier League, as

the recently promoted team is currently at the bottom of the table and five points from safety after 11 games.

Eddie Riemer, Chris Domogalla, and Christopher John, who work in the backroom, have also departed from the

club.

Stuart Webber, the sports director of Norwich, provided an explanation for the decision in a statement posted

on the team’s website. He said: “This decision was not an easy one, as we continue to demand the very best for

our football club.”

I am aware of Daniel and his team’s unwavering commitment to success at this level, but we believe that a

change is necessary in order to offer ourselves the best chance of keeping our Premier League standing.

“Everyone at Norwich City owes a debt of gratitude to Daniel and his team for their indispensable contributions

to our expedition. They all completely embraced our ideology and what it meant to be a part of our football club,

and they helped deliver two championship trophies and many unforgettable experiences.”

After taking over as Norwich’s head coach in 2017, Farke assisted the team in being promoted to the Premier

League twice, but he has never been able to maintain the Canaries in the top division.

Following the international break, Norwich’s next match is at Carrow Road on November 20 against

Southampton.
