Alexander Isak has been compared to Arsenal great Thierry Henry by former Sunderland striker Darren Bent,

who has stated that the Gunners should make a significant financial commitment to acquire the Sweden international.

With his brace in Newcastle United’s 4-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday,

the 24-year-old forward made it to seven goals in his past six games for Eddie Howe’s team.

Isak has been in great form for Newcastle United over the second half of the season.

Along with becoming the first Newcastle player to score 20 goals in a top division season since Alan Shearer,

the former Real Sociedad forward also made history.

Prospective suitors seeking to capitalize on the Magpies’ continued struggle with UEFA’s financial fair play standards and

the Premier League’s profit and sustainability criteria have taken note of Isak’s goal-scoring form.

In order to increase their spending in the transfer market this summer,

there have been rumors that Newcastle may need to sell a key player.

Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are two teams that are reportedly interested in acquiring Isak.

Bent, a former player for Sunderland and England,

is of the opinion that the Magpies’ frontman could fetch a price tag of between £80 million and £100 million.

He emphasized that Isak would be the ideal addition to the Gunners as they seek to bolster their forward lineup during the summer transfer window.

He told talkSPORT: “Again, I am not saying that they are the same,

but the way he finishes, that side foot, is like Thierry, just caress it into the far corner.

But yeah, if there was one centre-forward out there you said who should Arsenal buy, it’s him.

(He is worth) £80-100 million, and I would happily pay it.

“He can do everything, can take the ball in tight spaces, can create, and can even come off the left.”

Isak will be back in action when Newcastle resume their push for Europe with a visit to Crystal Palace next Wednesday night.
